The inventory is mainly based on literature data.1The data set represents a global and unified applied technology. The data set can be adapted to the country / region specific situation by using the applicable data sets with the country / region specific conditions.Data for this process are based on the KTBL (Association for Technology and Structures in Agriculture) data collection "Faustzahlen für die Landwirtschaft 2009" and have been calculated over the working time requirements. It is assumed that an average plot of land gages 2 ha with a distance between field and farm of 3 km on the average. The system boundaries of these processes include the driving from farm to field, the proceeding itself (as, for example, ploughing or combining) as well as the return from field to farm. Transports of harvested goods from field to farm like, for example, corn or straw, are neglected and have to be considered separately. The tractor specific consumption and emission data (HC, NOx, CO and CO2 emissions) have been especially elaborated by FAT (Swiss Federal Research Station for Agricultural Economics and Engineering) in order to calculate eco-balances of agricultural production processes. The underlying waste gas model of FAT is based on 109 single measurements with over 162,000 data sets and a gate time of 450 hours in trial operation. The data source for the modelling of benzpyrene and dust (particles into air) is Borken et al. As benzpyrene values strongly fluctuate throughout different sources from literature, they are freely adjustable between 100 and 200 ng / MJ diesel. The preset value is set to 150 ng / MJ diesel. Sulphur dioxide emissions are calculated over the average sulphur contents of diesel being assumed as between diesel 50 ppm and diesel 10 ppm.Diesel mix at refineryDiesel mix at refineryDiesel mix at refineryProvision of a standard technical process according to the applied technology.0.050[-] share of biogenic C in fuelHektar*h_ha0.860Processing timeHektar*h_ha/Bearb_h*10000100000per ha (10000 m2)1500[ng/MJ diesel] acc. lit. range [100 ; 200]benz*42.7*Diesel_ha*0.835/1e123.69024075E-80[kg/ha]CO_l*diesel_ha0.04649656465116280kg/ha CO emission per hectare(0.1899*diesel_h+3.6914)/10000.006738632558139540kg/l CO emission per liter dieselCO2_ha*Anteil_CO2_bio0.91607850[kg/ha] CO2 (biogenic) emission per haCO2_ha*(1-Anteil_CO2_bio)17.40549150[kg/ha] CO2 (fossil) emission per ha3.18*diesel_ha*0.83518.321570diesel_ha/h_ha16.0465116279070l/h Diesel consumption per hour6.90l/ha [5.7 - 6.9]diesel_ha*0.8355.76150kg/ha0.430h/ha [0.23 - 0.43]HC_l*diesel_ha0.0140253120551650kg/ha HC emission per ha(0.0174*diesel_h*diesel_h-0.4167*diesel_h+4.2389)/10000.00203265392103840kg/l HC emission per liter diesel220ha size of lotNOx_l*diesel_ha0.2087323813953490kg/ha Emission per hectare(-0.5575*diesel_h+39.197)/10000.03025106976744190kg/l NOx emission per liter dieselUnit process, single operationAttributionalNoneNot applicableNoneAll data used in the calculation of the LCI results refer to net calorific value.NoneGaBi Modelling PrinciplesGaBi Water Modelling PrinciplesGaBi Agriculture Model DocumentationGaBi Land Use Change Model DocumentationGaBi Energy Modelling PrinciplesGaBi Refinery Modelling PrinciplesCut-off rules for each unit process: Coverage of at least 95 % of mass and energy of the input and output flows, and 98 % of their environmental relevance (according to expert judgement).
